Gareth Bate first came to 401 Richmond as the recipient of the the 2007 "401 Richmond Career-Launcher Prize" given to one Ontario College of Art & Design graduating student every year. The prize is a 500 sqft studio for one year. Since then Gareth has moved to studio S17 in the basement orange section.
